1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of https://pianofantasy.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and the purchase and use of any products or services offered through our website. They are intended to comply with applicable EU consumer protection laws and ensure transparency and fairness.
By using our website or purchasing from us, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If additional terms apply to a specific product or service, those will take precedence in case of conflict.
2. Your Rights: Cancellation, Refunds & Subscriptions
2.1 Piano Fantasy Academy’s 15-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Although EU law allows for the exclusion of the right of withdrawal for digital services that begin immediately upon purchase (with customer consent), Piano Fantasy Academy offers a voluntary 15-day money-back guarantee for most purchases. This guarantee is not required by law but is provided as part of our customer care policy.
- This 15-day guarantee applies to Pro Memberships and other offers that state this explicitly.
- If a specific offer includes a different refund period, the policy stated in that offer will apply.
- Refunds under this guarantee may be requested within 15 days of the purchase date, as long as the product or service has not been misused or accessed in a way that violates our Terms.
- A refund will be granted only once per product per customer. If you request a refund for the same product a second time, the money-back guarantee does not apply.
- In rare and exceptional circumstances, a second refund may be granted at our discretion. In such cases, we reserve the right to deduct transaction and processing fees from the refund amount.
To request a refund under this guarantee, contact us with your full name, order date, and the email address used for your order.
2.2 Exceptions to Refunds & Withdrawal Rights
According to EU law and Dutch regulations, consumers may not be entitled to a statutory 14-day withdrawal period in the following cases:
- Digital Downloads: If you consent to immediate access and download, your statutory right of withdrawal is waived.
- One-to-One or Personalized Services: Once begun or delivered, these are not refundable.
- Personalized Goods or Services: Refunds are not available once production or preparation of personalized goods or services has started, unless there is a legal defect.
By accepting immediate access during checkout, you waive your right to the statutory withdrawal period.
2.3 Refund Process
Refunds (under our voluntary guarantee or as otherwise stated in the offer) will be issued within 14 days of approval, using the original payment method. Delivery fees, if any, are not included.
2.4 Free Trials
If your purchase includes a free trial, the 15-day money-back guarantee still applies from the date the service becomes accessible.
2.5 Subscriptions
You can cancel your subscription at any time.
Cancellation
- If you cancel via your student dashboard, cancellation takes effect immediately (in the case of a free trial) or at the end of the current billing period (for paid subscriptions). To avoid being charged for the next period, cancellation must be completed before the next payment is processed.
- If you cancel via email to customer support, please contact us at least 3 days before the next billing cycle. This allows us sufficient time to process the cancellation manually on your behalf. We are not responsible for late cancellation requests received after this timeframe.
Access After Cancellation
- Free Trials: If you cancel during a free trial, your access to the membership content and community will end immediately upon cancellation.
- Paid Subscriptions: If you cancel a paid subscription, your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. After that, no further payments will be taken and access will be revoked.
Refunds
- No Prorated Refunds: We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. You retain access until the end of the paid term.
Recurring Payments
- The 15-day money-back guarantee applies only to the initial purchase of a subscription, unless explicitly stated otherwise. This guarantee is intended to give you sufficient time to explore the subscription and decide whether it meets your expectations.
- Recurring subscription payments (renewals) are non-refundable, as you have already had access to the services during the initial period and access continues immediately upon renewal.
- Renewal Notifications: For longer subscription periods (such as quarterly or yearly plans), we may send a reminder email before the next renewal date as a courtesy. Monthly subscriptions may not always receive a renewal reminder.
Reminder emails are sent as a courtesy and may not be delivered in all cases (for example due to spam filters or email preferences). You remain responsible for managing your subscription and cancelling before renewal if you do not wish to continue.
2.6 Upgrading from a Monthly to a Yearly Subscription
You may upgrade from a monthly subscription to a yearly subscription at any time.
To upgrade, please follow these steps:
- Purchase the yearly subscription through our website.
- After completing the purchase, contact us by email at [email protected] to request the upgrade adjustment.
Once we receive your request:
- We will calculate the unused portion of your current monthly subscription.
- The unused amount will be refunded to your original payment method.
- Your yearly subscription will remain active according to its normal billing cycle.
This upgrade process is handled manually to ensure accuracy and fairness. Please note that refunds for unused monthly time are provided as a courtesy and apply only when upgrading from a monthly to a yearly subscription.
2.7 Downgrading from a Yearly to a Monthly Subscription
Downgrading from a yearly subscription to a monthly subscription during an active yearly billing period is not supported.
If you wish to move from a yearly plan to a monthly plan:
- You must first cancel your yearly subscription.
- Your yearly subscription will remain active until the end of the paid billing period.
- After the yearly subscription has ended, you may purchase a monthly subscription at the price and conditions available at that time.
Unused portions of yearly subscriptions are not refundable, and yearly subscriptions cannot be partially converted into monthly subscriptions.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on this website is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
4.1 Usage Restrictions
You may not copy, distribute, modify, or commercialise any content without our explicit written permission, unless permitted by law (e.g., quotation right).
5. Fair Use & Prohibited Conduct
